NCEdCloud Login Page — Where to Find it and How to Use it

What is the NCEdCloud Login Page?

The NCEdCloud login page is the entry point for all North Carolina public school users to authenticate into the statewide identity and access management platform operated by NCDPI, with RapidIdentity technology from Identity Automation. It serves students, teachers, staff, and administrators across more than 300 North Carolina LEAs, including charter schools.

The NCEdCloud login page handles both first-time account claiming and returning user sign-in. Knowing the correct URL and what to expect on the page saves time and prevents confusion, especially at the start of the school year. See our full NCEdCloud Login Guide for a complete walkthrough of every login method.

The Official NCEdCloud Login URL

“The official NCEdCloud login page is located at my.ncedcloud.org.”

This is the primary URL used across every North Carolina district. Some districts configure a custom portal link that redirects to this address, but the underlying login page is the same. Always verify you’re on my.ncedcloud.org before entering credentials to avoid phishing sites. The domain should read exactly “ncedcloud.org,” not a look-alike domain. Read our my.ncedcloud.org guide to learn more in detail.

What is on the Login Page?

The NCEdCloud login page contains:

  • A username field
  • A password field
  • A Sign In button
  • A “Claim My Account” link for first-time users
  • A “Forgot Password” link for account recovery
  • Your district’s logo or branding in some configurations

The page is clean and minimal. If you see additional fields or unfamiliar branding, confirm you are at the correct URL.

First-Time User vs. Returning User

User TypeWhat to ClickWhat Happens
Brand new accountClaim My AccountOpens the claiming process
Returning user with passwordSign InOpens the dashboard
Forgot passwordForgot passwordOpens challenge question reset

Do not click Sign In if you have never claimed your account. Attempting to sign in before claiming results in an authentication error. Read our Claim My Account guide for that process.

What Happens After You Sign in?

After entering your username and password and clicking Sign In, one of three things happens:

  1. You land directly on your NCEdCloud dashboard. This is the normal outcome for most users.
  2. You are prompted to complete MFA. As of July 1, 2026, this is mandatory statewide for all employees. See our MFA Setup guide for the officially supported apps and enrollment steps.
  3. You see an error message. Common errors include incorrect password, locked account, or expired password. Our troubleshooting guide covers these in detail.

The dashboard shows your assigned application tiles, based on your role and what your district has licensed.

Troubleshooting Login Page Problems

If the login page does not load, check your internet connection and try a different browser. Chrome is the most reliable browser for NCEdCloud. If the page loads but will not accept your credentials, verify your username format and that Caps Lock is off. If you see a certificate warning in your browser, stop and do not proceed; contact your IT department.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the official NCEdCloud login page URL?

The official login page URL is “my.ncedcloud.org”. Some districts use a custom link that redirects there, but this is the address to bookmark and trust.

Why can I not find the Claim My Account link on the login page?

The link appears below the username and password fields on the main login page. If you do not see it, try scrolling down or zooming out on your browser. On some mobile devices, it may be below the visible screen area; try a desktop computer if needed.

Is the NCEdCloud login page the same for all districts?

The underlying login page is the same platform for all NC public schools. Visual branding logos and colors may differ if your district has customized its portal, but the URL and core login fields are the same regardless.

My browser says the NCEdCloud login page is not secure. What should I do?

Do not enter your credentials. This could indicate a network issue, a content filter redirect, or a phishing attempt. Contact your school’s IT department and report the warning before logging in.

Can I bookmark the NCEdCloud login page?

Yes. Bookmarking my.ncedcloud.org is good practice for returning users who log in daily. Confirm this is the exact URL before saving it.
